Being a military wife with more than 20 household moves under her belt, Kimberly has set up sewing studios in each of her homes and is excited to share what she's learned for making the most of the space you've got. She'll share photos of her sewing rooms, her favorite (and not-so-favorite) features of what works and what doesn't, and her best tips for setting up a creative haven to suit your personal needs. Then, sit back and enjoy a personal tour of today's top quilting stars' studios - both clean and cluttered - as they open the doors to their spaces and share their favorite features and tips you can easily implement. This fun, informative, and inspiring 'parade-of-homes-style' visit will provide a wealth of ideas and tips for transforming your own space into a place where you can be your most creative!

Biography:

Kimberly Einmo is honored to represent Janome-America as their National Spokesperson. She is an international author, award-winning quilter, fabric designer, and has been a quilt judge for more than twenty years. Kimberly writes a popular column called Stray Threads, in American Quilter Magazine, and she has written six best-selling books, published by the American Quilter's Society. Kimberly has developed a signature line of Precision Rulers and she is a Featured Artist for the Electric Quilt Company.

As a respected and prominent leader in the quilting industry, Kimberly loves to travel and meet sewing enthusiasts from all walks of life around the world!

This meeting will be both IN-PERSON and ONLINE via Zoom. Both meeting rooms will open at 6:15 pm and the meeting will begin at 6:30 pm Mountain time. Museum Masterpieces: A Virtual Quilt Tour

Join us for a fascinating virtual visit to the International Quilt Museum! During this special presentation, we will learn about the history of the museum, discover how the team cares for its remarkable world-class quilt collection, and enjoy a guided look at several of the current gallery exhibits on display.

This is a wonderful opportunity to go behind the scenes of one of the most celebrated quilt museums in the world and gain a deeper appreciation for the preservation, artistry, and stories found in quilts across time. The presentation will conclude with time for questions, giving members a chance to learn even more.

Our presenter, Lindy Clausen, is the Education Coordinator at the International Quilt Museum. Lindy graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and art education, and later earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Doane College. After eleven years as a public-school teacher, she joined IQM in 2023. Lindy now leads field trips and collaborates with the Lincoln community to create engaging events and educational experiences at the museum.
